All members of Corsair Rescue are trained in the use of specialist medical equipment and rescue equipment such as hydraulic and battery-powered equipment, to assist in the management of a casualty.
Corsair Rescue has several training days throughout the year as per the MSUK requirements. These cover the safe use of our rescue and medical equipment.
Training updates are regularly provided throughout the year with additional training days with other Rescue Units.
New Rescue Trainee Members with an interest in motorsport are always welcome to join Corsair Rescue.
The requirements for an MSUK Rescue Trainee, you'd be expected to attend a minimum of 10 events of different types of competition which can be organised, you will be always supervised by the licensed Rescue Crew, and medical training will also be provided.
After 12 months of structured training, you will be required to undertake a formal MSUK assessment in using the extrication tools and basic knowledge of the medical equipment carried on a Rescue Unit before being awarded a full Motorsport UK Rescue Licence.
